Peyton Boy Scout Troop 444 will be hosting a haunted house on Friday, Oct. 31 and Saturday, Nov. 1 from 6 to 11 p.m. at the big red barn located at 13555 Bradshaw Road.The haunted house has been a part of the area for eight years and this year is guaranteed not to disappoint. “The theme is The Graveyard Shift,” said Sandra Pelton-Cox. The proceeds are used to help fundraise for the troop and also to help local needy families with holiday baskets, gift certificates and Christmas presents.Admission for the event will be $4 for adults (ages 11 and up) and $3 for children (with one repeat trip free). The troop will also use a red light/green light system to ensure even younger children can enjoy the haunted house without the extra scary parts. If you dare enter the haunted house under “red light” be prepared to be very scared! The haunted house runs under a “no touch” policy and has plenty of adult supervision and security.In addition, the troop will be selling concessions including hot chocolate, coffee, soda, chili and meal deals.To get to the haunted house, travel east on Highway 24 to the Peyton post office. Turn north on Bradshaw Road and continue about a quarter mile until you see the red barn to the north side of the white house.
