Local fitness expert advances in competition

David Corder NSCA-CPT, owner and lead trainer at Perfect Fit Wellness Center, has won the first round of Project Breakout’s “Search for the next Fitness Phenom.”Project Breakout, an online video voting community, is searching for the next fitness expert. Corder’s first DVD, entitled “Perfect Posture,” was entered into the competition and won the first week’s contest with over 1,700 more online votes than any other contestant. Now, he is headed for the finals.Corder is working on a new DVD for the final competition. He promised a workout program that will build strength and encourage weight loss. The final online voting period is from Sept. 1 to Sept. 7, with the winner announced Sept. 8. First prize for the competition is a contract with a fitness production company to market his programs across the United States and Canada.The first round of the competition was strictly an online voting period with the popular votes, comments and views determining the winner.
