FALCON SENIOR SERVICES NEWS

CAR SHOW:Step back in time for a day and enjoy a glimpse of the days when your parents and grandparents cruised the roads in style at the Falcon Senior Services Classic and Custom Car Show 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 23 at the Old Falcon Middle School (southeast Corner of U.S. Highway 24 and Meridian Road.The show will feature outstanding original, restored and custom cars from around eastern El Paso County. All proceeds from the show will benefit the Falcon Senior Services Building Fund for the construction of a senior center to serve the Falcon area.Car entry fees are a tax deductible donation of $15 per car in advance or $20 per car on show day. Admission to the show is free to the public. Categories are 1942 and older original/restored; 1943-1983 original/restored; 1942 and older custom; 1943-1983 custom; and 1984 and newer original/custom. Public Choice Awards will be presented in each category.Entry forms can be picked up at these Falcon businesses: Checker Auto Parts, Falcon Car Care (next to Big R) and Midas Auto Service, or contact Clark Absher at 749-2621 or Clay Whitney at 495-2328. Mail entry forms and donation fees to Falcon Senior Services, Phyllis Anderson, 7855 Blue Gill Drive, Falcon, Co. 80831. Late entries of $20 can be paid at the gate on show day.
