Local non-profits will be the true headliners this season at First & Main Town Center’s 4th Annual FREE Summer Concert Series, presented by Penrose-St. Francis Health Services. Each of the nine concerts will benefit a local nonprofit by serving as a collection point for concertgoers to donate items:June 6, 13, 20: Care and Share Food Bank – non-perishable foodsJune 27, July 11, 18: Falcon School District 49 – school suppliesAugust 1, 8, 15: TESSA – cell phones”First & Main Town Center is a community gathering place,” said Cayse Osterlund, senior general manager. “Wrapping local charities into the concert series is our way of celebrating, and giving back, to a community that has given us so much.”The First & Main FREE Summer Concert Series will take place every Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. through Aug. 15 at the park located in front of the Cinemark Theater. The 2008 live music line-up:June 27- Tribe (zydeco, blues, jazz)July 11- Brickyard (blues, R&B, rock)July 18- NEW! Emerging Artists Night – The Parable Sons (blues) & Polyjane (folk, rock)August 1- Arch Hooks (R&B/rock)August 8- Jim Adams Band (blues)August 15- Under a Blood Red Sky (U2 tribute band)First & Main Town Center is located on Powers Boulevard between Constitution and N.
