Peyton Boy Scout Troop 444 would like to thank Bill Scanlon, Ranch Manager of the Ben Lomond Gun Club in Ramah, for the weekend of camping and shooting May 16-18. Eight Scouts, Matt Benett, Zane Gaddy, Cole James, Ryan Kilgore, Travis Leidholm, Calvin and Linus Murillo, and Daniel Schaal, earned their rifle shooting merit badge in a fun weekend of perfect weather, camping on the grounds, instruction and shooting. The instructor for the merit badge, Alex James, provided the boys and interested parents with over eight hours of classroom instruction at two troop meetings preceding the weekend and during the camp.
