The May 27 Falcon Lions Club meeting was held at Poblano’s Family Mexican Restaurant in Falcon. First Vice President Denise Keiley introduced the guests. Caitlen Kern, the 2008 El Paso County Fair Queen, shared the highlights for this year’s fair, which runs from July 19-26. Dr. Tyson Reuter from Alpine Vision was introduced. Reuter’s office had a promotion during the Christmas season to help fund Lions Club sponsored eye surgeries. As a result of Alpine Vision’s program, he presented the Falcon Lions Club a check in excess of $700 towards the club’s eye surgery program. The donation was greatly appreciated. Currently, Falcon Lions Club is sponsoring eye surgery for a young man to correct an eye issue.
