Paulsen’s Family Martial Arts invites the community to attend a grand opening celebration June 14 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at their new location at Meridian Point Church, 5450 Meridian Rd. The celebration will include a fundraiser and food drive to support the High Plains Helping Hands Food Pantry. Fundraising events will feature a kick-a-thon and punch-a-thon (how many times a student can kick or punch a bag in two minutes) and Sempei Kevin’s brick breaking challenge.In addition to fundraising events, there will be karate demonstrations, contests, self-defense seminars, games and a bake sale. Corporate sponsors and local merchants can rent display booths. Food, clothing, personal hygiene items and school supplies can also be donated.
