Jan. 10, the El Paso County Board of County Commissioners approved the rezoning of nearly 40 acres at the northwest corner of Woodmen Road and Meridian Road from rural residential to commercial regional. The Gaddie estate currently owns the property.The approval clears the way for Arizona developer Grant Langdon of Orion Holdings to move forward with plans to develop the site as a commercial shopping center.According to a letter of intent provided by architect Thomas & Thomas of Colorado Springs, construction will occur in one to three phases over a two to three year period.
