Nothing is slowing down the Falcon High School football team. On Friday, Oct. 26, the Falcons took home another victory, beating the Florence Huskies 31 ñ 13.The first quarter ended quick and scoreless. The Falcons picked up speed in the second quarter when Vahn Plambeck scored the first touchdown of the game. Raul Franco kicked the field goal to give the Falcons a 7-0 lead. With only 36 seconds left in the first half, Keenen Ballage scored another touchdown and Franco added an extra point, giving the Falcons a 17-0 lead.In the third quarter, Ballage came in with an 80-yard run to score another touchdown ñ field goal was good. With 10 minutes left in the third quarter, Florence came back with a touchdown, but missed their field goal. Falcon answered back when Plambeck scored another touchdown, and Franco was right on again with his field goal.With about 8 minutes left in the fourth quarter, Florence scored the last touchdown but again missed a field goal.ìFlorence has always been a tough team to beat, but it felt good to finish up the conference with a win,î said senior Lucas Musseau.The Falcons have completed a perfect 3A South Metro Conference season, leaving the Falcons with a record of 9-0.The Falcons played again Nov. 1 in Denver against Rock Canyon.
