The Falcon Fire Protection District raised a record $15,006 during the Muscular Dystrophy Association Fill-the-Boot campaign, meeting their goal of $15,000, said Chief Trent Harwig. Capt. Chris Bebb led the firefighters, fire explorers and family members in their efforts for MDA. “My hat’s off to Capt. Bebb and all those who participated in this year’s event,” Harwig said.According to a Las Vegas news report, the International Association of Fire Fighters is the largest contributor to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. During this year’s telethon, firefighters pledged a record-breaking $25.25 million. Since 1954, IAFF members have donated more than $300 million to MDA.Don’t forget to purchase your copy of the Colorado “Fired Up for Kids” calendar.The proceeds benefit the Children’s Hospital Burn Center in Denver.
