Another development for Claremont RanchIn the midst of a severe water shortage in Claremont Ranch, the NFH has heard that plans are on the table for another development in the ranch area – besides the business park, which was recently approved by the county. Of course, water restrictions have been placed on current Claremont residents, and continued water sources for the residential and commercial areas are questionable. But don’t fret.We also heard the new development is all concrete, and unique concepts to save water are being introduced to the potential homeowner.New homeowners must sign contracts limiting their families to four humans per household. No pets or plants are permitted. No washing machines, showers or bathtubs will be installed in the homes. Commodes will be installed, but they do not flush. Rain water will be used for cooking purposes.Residents will be bussed weekly to Colorado Springs for showers and laundry needs.More Falcon/Peyton developmentsRumor has it the Shaw Ranch, which sits near the eastern portion of Santa Fe Springs has been purchased for use as a residential mobile home park. And another new development called Rock Springs is on the map. The 714-acre development sits along Murphy Road, just east of Peyton Highway. Plans call for 192 houses, each on 2.5-acre lots.
