Woodmen Hills is sponsoring a Colorado Rockies “Baseball Skills Challenge” Saturday, June 16 at 9 a.m. at Falcon Middle School . The challenge is free and open to boys and girls from ages 6 to 13. Age classification is as of Dec. 31, 2007.The baseball challenge includes running, batting and throwing for distance. Top scorers from each age group and gender will advance to the sectional competition. Kids are required to wear sneakers or plastic/rubber cleats only; no metal spikes.
