With the Calhan Lion’s Club as its sponsor, the Falcon Lion’s Club has grown to 40 members strong since last May. The Falcon club has already assisted with the following: a food, coat and blanket drive for the Helping Hands Food Pantry; a two-mile highway clean up project on Woodmen Road and a grocery raffle/fundraiser for the Lion’s club kids-oriented projects.On Jan. 20, the club will convene for the “Charter Night Celebration” at the Antler’s Creek Golf Club restaurant. Lion’s club members throughout Colorado are expected to attend the event, which includes dinner, a raffle and silent auction and comments from key members.
