The Service Corps of Retired Executives – SCORE – is now offering one-on-one business counseling by e-mail. Mark Sievers, a Cripple Creek attorney and local SCORE volunteer counselor, said that e-mail counseling “benefits the counselor and the person seeking advice. The business person can pose the question when he or she has the time.” As a counselor, Sievers said he can research the answer before replying. To access the e-mail process, go to the www.score.org national home page; enter keywords/question on the home page and a list of counselors appears, excluding counselors who are unavailable that day or who have filled their daily quota. Then, select a counselor by expertise and state. You can also click on “Ask SCORE” on www.score.org. Enter keywords and state (optional), or you can click on “Contact Us” on Chapter 206 home page at www.coloradospringsscore.org.SCORE is in its 40th year of offering confidential and free business counseling and other services to potential and existing small businesses. The SCORE phone number in the Springs is 636-3074.
