Super Squirts’ Safety Day takes place at Woodmen Hills Community Center West Saturday, Oct. 7, from 10 a.m. to noon. The Falcon Fire Department will teach kids age 3 to 7 about safety, what the firefighters do and allow them to get a close look at a fire truck! The group will show a safety video and have snacks and drinks as well. The cost is $2 per child; parents are free. Call 495-2500, ext. 110 to RSVP and find out the details. A parent must attend with child.Woodmen Hills Center West will host a Red Cross Babysitting Course Wednesday, Oct. 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This training course is for individuals age 11 to 15 with the information and skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children in the absence of parents or adult guardians. This training will help participants develop skills in leadership and professionalism; basic care, safety and safe play and first aid.The cost is $40 per person. Space is limited, so sign up and prepay as soon as possible. Call or stop by CCW – 495-2500 ext. 110. Please bring your own lunch.
