The Falcon and Sand Creek boys’ tennis team, coached by Falcon High School history teacher Tom Junk, is quickly bringing the season to a close. There are only three matches left in the 2006-2007 fall season. Both Falcon and Sand Creek students wish the boys the best of luck in their future matches. “The more supporters that we have at our matches the better,” said Nick Oligmueller, a junior at Falcon High.The final match will be held at Pine Creek High School on Sept. 26. The varsity team captain is Michael Steppat, a sophomore at Sand Creek High School. The team is comprised of mostly younger students, with no seniors on any of the teams.The varsity tennis team placed third in a two-day tournament held at Widefield High School. Tony Price and Jon Nichol took third place at the four doubles during the Widefield High School tournament.
