Wanted: visitors to the historic Black Forest Log School located near the corner of Black Forest and Shoup roads.The school has been restored to represent the years it was in session, from 1922 to 1945. There was one teacher for grades one through eight in one room with no electricity or running water.The Black Forest Log School is open for visitors from noon to 3 p.m. on Thursday afternoons June 15 through Aug. 17. A STORY TIME for primary children is offered at 7 p.m. June 22, July 6, July 21 and Aug. 3. Gail Ross and Sally Burr will read from their “Ever After” children’s books on June 22.A guide for a driving tour of historic landmarks in Black Forest is available for a $1 donation. Other history books are for sale as well. A separate tour for school children, senior citizens or other groups can be arranged by calling 495-2001 or 495-2178.
