Don Root, Falcon branch manager, is inviting everyone to celebrate its 10th anniversary along with the 90th gala in Calhan.”When the Falcon location opened, FSB did not have any ideas that the area would grow into the community it has become,” Root said. “The Woodmen Hills subdivision was still in the approval process with the county, and Safeway would not open for another four years. Ten years later, Falcon is considered the place to be for business and professional services. The community is maturing and developing its own identity. FSB would like to extend our thank you to all those who have become our customers and who now consider Falcon home.”Co-presidents of Falcon State Bank are brother and sister team Randy Pieper and Joan Lawson. In a statement regarding their anniversary celebration: “We would like to thank the community for supporting us, and we remain committed and dedicated to keeping FSB family owned and independent.”Notable to FSB:*Farmers State Bank is one of the few institutions that survived the Great Depression, maintaining its stability for 90 years.*Farmers State Bank is locally owned and operated and committed to their communities.
